Gerald Laughters, age 72, of East Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. He lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and a willingness to help others.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mary Laughters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Laughters; his brother, Allen Keith Laughters an Wife Sherryand his cousin, Linda Solari, sister in-law Jan Laughters, niece Shelby, nephew Jeffrey along with many friends, neighbors, and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
A master plumber by trade and a gifted handyman, Gerald was known for his ability to fix just about anything. Whether helping family, friends, or neighbors, he was always willing to lend a hand and share his knowledge. His strong work ethic, practical skills, and generous spirit earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Gerald loved the simple pleasures of life in East Tennessee. He took pride in his work, enjoyed solving problems, and found satisfaction in helping others through his talents and craftsmanship. His dedication, dependability, and warm personality made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though he will be deeply missed, Gerald's memory will live on through the lives he touched, the things he built and repaired, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
Gerald had a loving cremation and there will not be a service or ceremony at this time.
The family extends their gratitude to all who have offered their support, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.
Forever remembered, forever loved.
