Geraldine Gott (April 11, 1935 – September 22, 2026)
Geraldine Gott entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, where she was reunited with her loving husband, Bobby Gott; her beloved son, Timmy Lee Gott; her parents, William H. Culpepper & Alice M. Bowers; and her siblings, Willie Mae Wilson, Charles H. Culpepper, Louise Starnes, Bobby Culpepper, Melvin J. Culpepper, and Sherry J. Caine.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving son, Ricky (Debra) Gott; grandchildren, Nicole (Patrick) Leverton, Meagan (Justin) Chadwell, Lucas Williams, Ethan (Alexandria) Williams, Brileigh Gott, & Camden Gott; great-grandchildren, Landon Chadwell, Collin Chadwell, Charleston Leverton, and Kendyl Chadwell; special friend, Jim Smallwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Geraldine, affectionately known as Jerry, was an active and spirited woman who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed being on the go, and, as long as she was with the people she loved, she was not particular about where the adventure took her.
Jerry was born in Lynch, KY and later moved with her family to Kingsport, TN where she graduated from Lynn View High School. She retired from Guest & Guest Dentistry after more than 44 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime and devoted member of West View Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, led Training Union, taught Sunday School, and volunteered with the AWANA children's program. In more recent years, she volunteered with the Bloomingdale Ruritan and especially enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren participate in a variety of sports. She could often be found cheering them on—and occasionally standing up to demonstrate that she could still kick or throw a ball herself.
Jerry's greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, service, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends at West View Missionary Baptist Church, 1037 Fairview Ave., Kingsport TN on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:30 – 7:00pm with a Celebration of Life officiated by Past0r Mike Stout to follow.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th at 11:00am in the Garden of David at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd., Kingsport, TN.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Leverton, Justin Chadwell, Luke Williams, Ethan Williams, Camden Gott, Collin Chadwell, & Landon Chadwell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Love Chapel Christian Church Youth Ministry at 1415 Love Station Rd., Erwin, TN 37650.
