Ginger Kersey

Ginger Kersey, 67, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and 1977 graduate of Sullivan Central High School. Ginger was retired from Eastman Chemical Company following over 40 years of service. She attended Gravelly Baptist Church. Ginger loved going to the beach with the beach girls. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Velvie Vicars; and sister, Delores Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William Kersey; sons, Jarred Kersey and wife, Jessica, and Dustin Kersey; granddaughters, Kali, Emma and Trinity; great-granddaughter, Maeve; sisters, Betty Freeman, Martha Tunnell and Vivian Wampler; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Allison officiating.
