Gladys Gott

Gladys Gott, 85, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Born in Galax, VA, she was raised and had lived most of her life in East Tennessee. She graduated from Sullivan High School and worked as a dental assistant for 28 years. Gladys was of the Baptist faith. She loved to cook and crochet but she loved her family most of all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lucille Wright; sister, Glenna Fletcher, and son, Douglas Gott.

Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Fred Gott; son, David Gott and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Josh Gott, Corey Gott and wife, Sarah, Katie Bentley and husband, Brandon, and Matthew Gott and John; great grandchildren, Emma Bentley, Layla Gott and Remington Gott; bother, Larry Wright and wife, Glenda; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 4th, 2025 at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park with Brandon Bentley officiating.
