Gladys Inez Williams, born April 25, 1933, in Hawkins County, Tennessee, went to join her beloved husband, Patrick Williams Jr., in heaven Tuesday, January 9, 2007, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was of the Christian faith.

Gladys was a loving wife, momma, mamaw, and friend, who taught her family by example the tolerance and forgiveness of others.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Patrick Hagan Williams Jr.; her parents, Oscar Kenneth Jones and Cora Ellen Barton Jones; three infant siblings, Jerry Jones, Linda Jones, and Irene Jones; a brother, Oscar Kenneth Jones; sisters, Frances Alexander and Amy Ruth Bellamy; son-in-law and friend ?Dirty? Mike Wagner; and niece, Debbie Bellamy

Surviving are one son, Patrick Hagan Williams III; one daughter, Lisa Ellen Wagner, both of Kingsport; two granddaughters, Amy Denise Hampton and husband, Seth Hampton, Erwin, TN and Charlotte Inez Williams, Kingsport; one grandson, Patrick ?Bubba? Hagan Williams IV, Kingsport; a soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Kyra Raine Hampton; sisters, Mavis Forbes and husband, Jack Forbes, Kingsport, Patsy Spence, Michigan, Bonnie Absher, Wilkesboro, NC, and Ollie Lawson, Morristown; brothers, Larry Jones and wife, Rosa, Johnny Jones and wife, Karen, all of Michigan; a special sister-in-law and niece, Faye Barnett and Deanna Sluss, who never left her side; special friend, Kim Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Friends and family may also visit at the home of Kim Anderson, 3824 E. Line Drive, Apt 58, Kingsport, TN 37664 or the home of Lisa Wagner, 4114 Carters Valley Road, Church Hill, TN 37642.

A celebration of our momma and mamaw?s life will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Bishop Jack Forbes, Larry Jones, and Johnny Jones officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for monetary donations made to Faye Barnett, 272 Clover Bottom Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660 to cover funeral expenses.

The family sends a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Third Floor ICU, for the compassionate care of our mom and mamaw.
