Glinda Gail Johnson

Glinda Gail Johnson, 57, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2022. She loved her cat, Baby girl Hazel. Gail was a devoted member of Glenwood Community Church since childhood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orbin Mack “OM” and Sue Ella Bright Johnson; brothers, James Allen, Henry Ray, and Jackie Glen Johnson; and grandparents, Chat and Edith Graham and GM and Helen Johnson.

Gail is survived by her cat, Baby girl Hazel; sisters, Lois Hickman and Norma Casteel (Danny); stepbrother, Jack Bright (Mildred); special aunt and uncle, Larry and Kathy Jean Robinson.  special niece, Pamela (Susie) Cardwell; nieces, Angel Shipley, Candice Wallen, and Tracy Casteel; and nephews, Michael Johnson and Matthew Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Rex McMurray officiating.

Burial will follow at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mason Cardwell, John Hardie, Tony Shipley, Caleb Wallen, Chad Robinson and Paul Robinson.
