Helen Marie Wade

Helen Marie Balthis Wade, age 77, of Blountville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 16, 2025. A “Firecracker,” she was born on July 4, 1947, in Bristol, Virginia. Helen graduated from John Battle High School in1965. She was a very strong and independent woman who loved the Lord, her family, and always held her grandchildren and great-grandchildren close to her heart.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Sue Balthis & R.M. Balthis and sister, Kathy Waller.

She is survived by her children, Rick Owens, Marty Owens and Kristi Owens; her grandchildren, Brittany Wagoner, Megan Owens, Courtney Phillips, Kassidy Owens and Samantha Owens; her great-grandchildren, Isaac, Aubrey, Heidi, Emery, Atticus and Oliver; her beloved sisters, Linda Rutledge and Loretta Sharrett; and brother, Larry Balthis.

A private graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park in Blountville, Tennessee.
