Howard Lee Lane

Howard Lee Lane passed away June 17, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Bluff City, TN. He has lived in the Tri-Cities area all of his life. Howard was self-employed and enjoyed trading lawnmowers. He attended Bible Way Church in Bristol, TN and Christian Lighthouse Worship Center, where he loved to sing to the Lord in worship. 

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, William Albert and Barbara Jane (Williams) Lane; wife, Wanda Lane; daughter, Donna Hartley; four brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Lane is survived by his daughter, Lori Lane; son-in-law, Donald Hartley; five additional “children”, Melissa, Johnny, Denise, David and Loretta, whom he considered as his own; six grandchildren, Eric, Jessica, Ashley, Tracy, Matthew and Larry; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, John Lane and wife, Carol; three sisters, Mary Hatcher, Nellie Smalling (George), Rose Robinson (Charlie); and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2630 Hwy. 75, Blountville, TN. A service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Preacher Scott Leonard and Preacher Nathan Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Prayer.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Leonard, A. J. Lane, Josh Murray, Justin Widner, Jesse Lane, Austin Whitson, family and friends.
