James Douglas White

James (Jim) White, 95, Surgoinsville, TN passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home.  He was born in Hawkins County and had resided in this area his entire life.

Jim will be missed by his faithful companions, Patches and Grey Bob.

His wife, Dolores White, several sisters and brothers preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughters, Beth Dye and husband Rick; Miriam Thornton; son, Gary Wilson and wife Freeda; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Estelle Staten of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday (Jan. 24, 2020) from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.  Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday at Piney Grove Cemetery in Surgoinsville, TN.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
