Janice "Jan" Eads

Janice “Jan” Eads, 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Born in Saltville, VA, she had resided most of her life in Kingsport. Jan worked as a cashier at Oakwood Supermarket and Pot O’ Gold. She was a member of Belvue Christian Church. Jan was an avid Alabama Football Fan. She jokingly said that she could not take the loss to Tennessee on Saturday, so she was ready to go to Heaven.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Alba DeBord; sister, Mary Jane DeBord; and one infant sister and one infant brother.

Survivors include her four sons, Bob Akers, Richard Adams, David Adams, and Ricky Eads and wife Tammy; three grandsons, Billy Adams and wife Heather, Brett Adams and wife Amanda and Cody Eads; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Adams, Blake Adams and Harper Adams; close friends, Alice Carter, Peggy Hess and Sabrina Bays; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Rick Steadman officiating.
