Janice Sue Hyatt Litz

Janice Sue Hyatt Litz, Blountville, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at her residence. Born in Kingsport, she lived in this area all her life and retired from Eastman Chemical Company after many years of service.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Birtha Hyatt; her husband of 32 years, Kenneth; stepdaughter, Delmara Reese; brothers, M.D. and Archie Hyatt; and grandson, Wayne Reese.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steven and Michael Litz (Amy Stacy); five grandchildren, Janna Sipp (Darryl), Joey Reese, Cody Litz (Andrea), Brittany France (Jason) and Caleb Litz; four great-grandchildren, Cienna Sipp, Braydon Britt, Bryson Litz and Henry France; brothers, Johnny and Woody Akers; two sisters, Mary Cody and Donna Hyatt; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, 2630 Hwy. 75, Blountville. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor John Schafer. Burial will follow in Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park, Garden of Devotion.
