Jean Ward

Jean Ward, on the wings of a snow white dove, entered into her Heavenly Father?s arms on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at 8:15 p.m.

She was born in Kingsport where she had lived her entire life and was a homemaker and wonderful cook. Jean was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.

Her husband, Fred Lee Ward; and parents, Fleming and Orabelle Hite, preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Sue Catron and husband, Jeff, Gate City, Virginia; one son, Steven Fred Ward, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Steven Dewayne Ward, Kingsport, Michael Scott Catron, U. S. Navy, Persian Gulf, and Gracie Lee Ward, Kingsport; two great-grandchildren, Steven Keith Ward and Alyssa Hope Ward; two brothers, Carl Hite and Gerald Hite, both of Kingsport; a special niece, Cathy Puckett; several other nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Patsy Wolfe.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Sunrise Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Dykes, Rev. Lawrence Wolfe, and Rev. Phillip H. Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Depew?s Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Clinton Puckett, Tim Dykes, Jeff Catron, and Ray Cain.
