Jeffrey Lynn Lovin was born on April 23, 1969. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and the most incredible Papa to his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Arlena “Nanny” Lovin, who raised him to love Jesus and his family above all!; father, Dale Lovin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Lois Young; stepfather, Dennis Badzinski.
Those left to carry on his incredible legacy are his adoring wife of 38 ½ years and love of his life since he was 12 years old, Lisa Lovin; his children, Jessica and Tony Freeman, Melissa and Mackenzie Baker; and his greatest blessings, his grandbabies, Emery, Averlynn, Aria, Elliot, and Everett; brothers-in-law, Kenny and Michael (Twannia) Young; cousins and lifelong friends, Scott and Travis Armstrong and Trevor Houser; stepmother, Judy Badzinski; and so many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
His unwavering faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior assures us that we will see him again. Until then, we will continue to carry all of the precious memories made at his favorite places, Disney World, New Smyrna Beach, Target runs, and anywhere we could all be together. Jeff’s love and devotion to his family were expressed through his strength, determination, and willingness to always show up.
He loved his grandbabies fiercely enough to last an eternity, as evidenced by all of their love and admiration for their Papa. He will be greatly missed until we get to be with him again.
Papa, we promise to love your grandbabies to infinity and beyond, teach them the force is strong, celebrate the Great Big Beautiful tomorrow, and show them the magic you created for us every single day! We will make sure Tony and Mackenzie ride “It’s a Small World” every single time!
Always take the trip, make the memories, stop for pictures, and eat the ice cream!
As his last selfless act of service, Jeff will be sharing the gift of tissue donation.
The family will receive friends at Gravelly Baptist Church from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with Minister Morris Baker and Pastor Stephen Keene officiating the service to follow.
