JIM “RABBIT” GUY

Jim “Rabbit” Guy, 79, of Bluff City, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Born in Clinton, TN, he has lived in Bluff City most of his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. Jim retired from Electrolux after many years of service. He was a skillful mechanic and used that skill throughout his career in industrial manufacturing. Jim was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Lona McGhee Guy; and grandson, Garrett Boyd.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Charlotte Guy; children, Jimmy Guy and wife Karen, Shannon Jones, Amber Bates and husband Doug, and Issac Guy; grandchildren, Ashleigh Morenings and husband Josh, Brandon Guy, Kaitlyn Franklin, Nicholas Campbell, Dakota Capps, Bailee Slusher, and Kya Bates; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Mike Guy, Jane Broyles, and Julie Miller and husband Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

Military graveside rites will be presented at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park in the Avenue Of Flags by the American Legion Post 3/265.
