Jim Shake

Jim Shake, 85, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27, 2026. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, he had resided in Blountville for the past 25 years. Jim was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. His career in finance lending spanned over 45 years in 13 states, retiring from Heights Finance in 2007. Jim was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church and an active member of the Upper East Tennessee Seniors Golf League.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving spouse of 25 years, Glenda Shake; brothers, Mike Shake and wife, Linda, Ted Shake and wife, Becky; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elaine and Bob Fife; cousins, Sonny and Joyce Shake, Sam and Carol Shake; and, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2026, in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Blountville. A Celebration of Life will follow officiated by Pastor Aaron Rayburn.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Selby Millard and Chuck King for their love and support during this time.
