Joel Thomas "JT" Burkheart

Joel Thomas “JT” Burkheart, 85 of Fall Branch, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. JT was born and raised in Scott County, VA. He married his wife, Emma, and together they raised five children. The majority of his life was spent farming.

JT was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Burkheart; his wife, Emma Burkheart; daughter, Kendila; sons, John and William.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Doyle and husband, Robert; his son, Gregory Burkheart; grandchildren, Emily Doyle, Miranda Jadhav and husband, Shailesh, Bobby Allen and wife, Rachel; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Aliah, Tanner, Mason and Lacie; brother, Irving Burkheart.

A private family graveside will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
