Joella King Begley

Joella King Begley, 86, of Kingsport, was born April 27, 1924, in Kingsport, and went to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport.

Ms. Begley was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Morris Begley; her mother and father, Maude and Fred King; one grandson, Warren Christopher Childress, Jr.; and a brother, James King.

Survivors include a son, Fred P. Begley, of the home; a daughter, Kay Bush and husband, Gene, of Kingsport; brother, John W. King, of Kingsport; sister, Frances Lawson, of Johnson City; granddaughters, Teresa Saunders and husband, Jackie, of Gray, Sherri Rowland and husband, Faron, of Fall Branch; grandsons, Tony Begley and wife, Alisa, of Bradenton, FL, Phillip Begley, of Memphis, TN, and Garrett Begley of Ft. Worth, TX; great-granddaughter, Abby Saunders; great-grandsons, A. J. Begley, Adam Begley, Cody Rowland, Shayne Rowland, and Isaiah Begley; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Dana Pratt.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 2:30, with Pastor Gary Bement officiating.

Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Ms. Begley's grandsons and great-grandsons.
