John "Wayne" Hawkins

John “Wayne” Hawkins, 78, of Hiltons, Virginia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his residence.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Million Hawkins; his parents, James Carlos Hawkins and Ocia Jerree Hawkins; brother, James Edgar Hawkins; and sister, Louise Hawkins Harrison.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Cindy Collins and husband Kevin; granddaughter, Lacy Odom and husband Chandler; and great-grandsons, Jaxon and Sawyer Odom; brothers, Dennis (Angie) Hawkins, Michael (Linda) Hawkins, and Aaron Hawkins.

To honor Wayne’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Hermon United Methodist Church with Pastor Amos officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hermon United Methodist Church, 5395 E. Carter’s Valley Rd., Gate City, VA, 24251.
