Judy Ann Alaniz

Judy Ann Alaniz, 81, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Born and raised in Kingsport, where she attended Ross N. Robinson School. She worked as a waitress for over 40 years and in her time spent away from the restaurant, she raised her two children, Dianna and Ronald. Judy loved her children and grandchildren, her three cats; specifically Leo. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee and watching gameshows and Monk, which kept her entertained. Judy was a member of First Assembly Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel David Alaniz; and parents, John Forbes and Claudia Fincher

 Survivors include her daughter, Dianna Lynn Masingale and husband, Gene; son, Ronald Tyrone Freeman; stepchildren, Larry Alaniz and Trina Jackson; grandchildren, David Lee Freeman and Ashleigh Nicole Pratt; brother, Gary Lee Forbes and wife, Alma; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 1:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport Chapel with Toni and Al New officiating.
