Judy B. Golden

Mrs. Judy B. Golden, 68, of 56 Sterling Court North, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mrs. Golden was a native of Grundy, VA. She had lived most of her life in Kingsport and Johnson City. She owned the first skin care business in Kingsport and also owned several beauty shops in the area. Judy was currently serving on the State Board of Cosmetology. She was very active in the Democratic Party and was also the President of the Limited Edition Homeowners Association. Mrs. Golden was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and especially loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 30 years, Dr. Billy Golden; parents, John Lane and Hazel Shrader Lane; and one brother, Hubert Lane.

Survivors include her children, John "Cale" Golden, Kelley Golden, Mike Golden and wife Susan, Becky Golden Ledford and husband Joey, Susan Golden Johnson and husband Gary, Missy Golden; brothers, Marshall Lane and wife Carol, Eddie Lane, Johnny Lane and wife Kim; grandchildren, Ethan Golden, J.T. Golden, Sydney Golden, Emily Golden, Rachel Ledford, Willy Ledford; step-mother, Kathaline Lane; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mrs. Golden will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Heritage Baptist Church; 1512 John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, TN, 37604; with Dr. Reggie Weems and Rev. Ken Hecht officiating.
