Kelley Denise Bruner age 58 passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was saved as a young girl and of the Baptist faith. Denise worked at several retail businesses throughout her life.
Denise is preceded in death by her dad, Kelly L. Bruner; stepdad, A.M. Smith, Jr; paternal grandparents Hobert and Ruth Bruner; maternal grandparents, Montford and Thelma Dingus; special nephew, Timothy P. Haynes. She is survived by her mother, Christine B. Smith; sister, Kathey Haynes and friend Eddie Freeman; sister, Brenda Jones and husband Darryl; brother, Paul Bruner and Tammy; nieces, Kelley Goins, Emily Bruner; nephews, Paul Bruner, Jr., Ryan Jones; special great-nephews, Neyland Chase, Artcher Keith Bruner; special aunt, Kathy DeCastro and Diego; and special uncle, Philip Dingus.
Denise was an avid reader, she probably read every James Patterson and Steven King books, especially, Alex Cross series that were written. She enjoyed playing Bingo and especially with her friend, Eileen Aesque. She won the biggest jackpot of all this weekend when Jesus called her home.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4-6pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 6pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Donnie Brannen officiating. Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, April 4 at 2pm at Oak Hill Memorial Garden.
