Kenneth R. Kilbourne, 92, of Gray, TN passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. He was born to the late Otis and Josephine Kilbourne.
Kenneth was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 41 years of service. He was a long-time member of Kendricks Creek Methodist Church in Kingsport. He loved his church family and was very active in supporting the Men’s Group. He was an avid University of Tennessee sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janette Galloway; and his brother, Earl Kilbourne.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Sheila S. Kilbourne; daughters, Roni (Rick) Baker, Terri (Tom) Roberts, and Cheryl (Randy) Medley; stepsons, Terry (Michelle) Bowen and Bradley (Kellie) Bowen; stepdaughter, Tracy (Chris) Victory; grandchildren, Paige Roberts, Jill (Adam) Sammons, Hope Roberts, Peyton Medley, Taylor (Jared) Brewer, and Rianon Franklin; several honorary grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Juanita Kilbourne; Best Friends, Mike & Kay Hale and Barbara Furches.
A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth Kilbourne will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Kendricks Creek Methodist Church, Kingsport, officiated by Rev. Ray Amos and Rev. Susan Lankford. Visitation will take place from 5-6pm prior to the service on Tuesday. To celebrate Kenneth’s passion for UT sports, wearing orange to the service is encouraged. A private graveside service will be held earlier in the day.
Those who prefer memorials, in lieu of flowers, may make donations in Kenneth’s memory to Kendricks Creek Methodist Church or The American Diabetes Association.
