Leroy Jessee, Jr.

Leroy Jessee, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather was called home to the Lord on June 13, 2026 at the age of 81. He was blessed to have many who loved him and appreciated his good humor and storytelling. He was a good and loyal friend, willing to lend a helping hand. He was a loving man who left a lasting impact of sweet memories for his family and friends.

Leroy retired from Tennessee Eastman after more than 33 years of service working in various departments and roles, receiving multiple awards and commendations. Through the years, he was known for his many hobbies such as wedding photography, ham radio operator with call sign N400A, and was an accomplished woodworker.

He was born and raised in the Jasper community of Duffield, VA, the son of Leroy Jessee, Sr. and Blanche Bishop Jessee.

He was preceded in death by both parents; and younger brother, Larry Wayne Jessee.

Surviving family that will miss him tremendously are his wife, Carol Jessee; daughters, Lynne (Stanley) Kastal, Cynthia Vanzant; and granddaughter, Monica Vanzant Greene.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. with Pastor Stephen Keene officiating. Burial will follow at Bishop Family Cemetery in Duffield, VA. (Jasper Community).
