Lisa Kay Dowell Cox

Lisa Kay Dowell Cox, 59, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 2, 2026. She was a graduate of Central High School. Lisa worked for many years as a clerk until retirement. She was very artistic and enjoyed making crafts and sharing them with others. Lisa enjoyed cooking and even did some catering. Most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Dowell; brothers, James (Jim) and Steve Dowell; sister, Kathy Boggs Jewell; and granddaughter, Mia Gonzalez.

Lisa is survived by her daughter, Autumn Cox (Melvin Gonzalez); son, Austin Cox; grandchildren, Layla Gonzalez, Daisy Gonzalez, and Tesla “Tessie” Cox; mother, Madge Dowell; sister, Deborah Blakley and special brother-in-law George; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Kimmie; and many more special friends.

As per Lisa’s wishes, there will be no services.
