Louise "Lou" Harrison

Louise (Lou) Harrison, 76, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord, Monday, November 27, 2023. Louise was a longtime member of Hermon United Methodist Church. She retired from Eastman Chemical Company. Lou enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband Bobby Harrison, parents, James Carlos and Ocia Jerree Hawkins; and brother, Edgar Hawkins.

She is survived by her son, Tim (Dawn) Newland; granddaughters, Courtney (Chris) Jones, Kristen (Marcus) Newland Mullenix, Lexi Harless, and Chloe Harless; great-granddaughters, Kennedy Terry, Karaline Mullenix and Maddie Mullenix; special nephew, Dr. Brandon Hawkins; step-daughters, Diane (Mark) Curtis, Karen (Bobby) Elrod, Susan (Jim) Harrison, and Betsy (Paul) Liola; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne Hawkins, Dennis (Angie) Hawkins, Michael (Linda) Hawkins, and Aaron Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Brenda McNutt for her life-long friendship with Lou.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
