Louise Lee, 89, of Kingsport, died on March 19, 2007 at Wexford House.

Born in Rogersville, Tennessee on October 5, 1917, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frankie Lea.

Mrs. Lee married and moved to Kingsport in 1934. She was a charter member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was a past Worthy Matron of Liberty Chapter #198 D.E.S. Mrs. Lee and her husband were involved with meals on wheels for several years. Louise was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing her food and recipes with friends and family.

She was married for seventy-one years to the love of her life, Ellis Lee Jr., who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Lea Jr.

Surviving are a daughter; Charlotte Lee Peck and son-in-law Bob Peck of Greensboro, NC; two grandsons, Tracy Peck and wife Diane of Greensboro, NC., Todd Peck, Richmond VA; granddaughter; Patricia Ware and husband Steve of Greensboro, NC; great granddaughter, Stephanie Ware of Raleigh, NC; and great grandson Alex Ware of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth Lea and Francis Burton, both of Rogersville.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel of Hamlett Dobson on Wednesday March, 21 with the Reverend Gary Bement officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
