Mae C. Jones

Mae C. Jones, 79, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord late Sunday evening, June 15, 2025. Mae was born in Sullivan County and grew up in the Bays Mountain – Reservoir Road area. She was a member of Gospel Mission Church. Mae enjoyed doing crafts and selling Avon products.

Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie “Sam” Jones; and parents, Alfred and Lora V. Carroll; and brother, Leroy Carroll.

Survivors include her children, Alfred Landon Jones and wife, Marlene, Brian Jones and wife, Kristy; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Gregg, Lisa Porter, Rheba Lovingood, Nellie Tipton; brothers, David Carroll and Tommy Carroll; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her loving companion, Rascal.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Jones Family Cemetery, Beech Creek with Pastor Travis Constable officiating.
