Malcolm O. Ervin

Malcolm O. Ervin, 86, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007.

He was born in Manville, Virginia, but moved to Kingsport at an early age. Mr. Ervin was a World War II veteran having served in the U. S. Navy. He retired from Eastman Kodak in 1982 and was a member of the Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 since 1948. He was of the Methodist faith.

His parents, James P. and Ida Williams Ervin; and a brother, Charles Kemper Ervin, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Anna Sue Deck Ervin of Kingsport; one son, David D. Ervin of Kingsport; and a nephew, Jerry M. Ervin and wife, Peggy of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Lewis Weaver and Pastor Bobby Black officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Ervin Cemetery in Manville, Virginia.
