Margaret Davis Hawkins
Margaret Davis Hawkins passed away April 11, 2011, in Kingsport, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. G. F. Hawkins. Margaret was born in Newberry, South Carolina on July 25, 1919, and she attended Newberry College. She was a long time resident of Kingsport, Tennessee and a member of Waverly Road Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, David B. Hawkins, and her grand-daughter, Casey Claire Hawkins, both of Tucson, Arizona.
She will be buried in Newberry, South Carolina and no services have been scheduled for Kingsport.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sullivan County Imagination Library, 149 Pactolus Road, Kingsport, TN 37663, which is part of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program providing books for children.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry, SC with Rev. David Seymour officiating.
