Marie Austin Edmunds, 72, 3124 Ashley St., Kingsport, TN, died at 9:05 p.m. Sunday April 22, 2007 at her home.Born in Sulphur Springs in Washington County, she was a 1953 graduate of Lynn View High School.Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Hardwick ?Ed? Edmunds, mother, Anna Reed Austin, father, Courtney Milburn Austin, and brother, J. D. Austin.Surviving are a stepson David Edmunds and wife Tina, and their children Joshua and Hannah Edmunds; all of Boston, England; sister, Elizabeth ?Flap? Whittemore and husband Jim, Kingsport, TN; brother, Jim Austin, Richardson, TX; a cousin who was like a brother, J. Dwain Austin and wife Mary, Johnson City, TN; a niece who was like a daughter, Judy Rochelle and her son Daniel, both of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Jan Edmunds, Mt. Carmel, TN; brother-in-law, Erskine Edmunds and wife Shirley Quillen Edmunds, Vinton, VA; several nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and her beloved schnauzer, ?Sugar?.Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Hammond officiating.Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
