Marie Dover Hicks
Marie Dover Hicks, 79, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 8, 2007, after a brief illness.
She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room and also as an In-Service Coordinator at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Marie attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Her daughter, Mary Hicks; and husband, Hassell H. Hicks Jr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Richard Alan Hicks, Debra C. Napier, Mark Anthony Hicks, Robert F. Hicks and wife, Regina, and Terri Ollis and husband, Larry J.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Blessed Hope Baptist Church. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Stanley Sims officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 334 Holden Drive, Kingsport, TN 37663 or Alzheimer Center of Upper East TN, Inc., 2000 Greenway Street, Kingsport, TN 37660 or the charity of one?s choice.
