Mary Rucker

Mary Rucker, 89, Kingsport, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. Mary had a wonderful personality and sense of humor along with a strong work ethic. She was loyal to her family and friends. Mary sang with the Gospelettes and loved her God above all. She was an incredible baker known for her cakes that she always gave away.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rucker; son, Carroll Treece; brothers, Howard Cheatham and Charles James Earl; and sister, Margaret Bell and Annie Lamb.

Mary is survived by her son, Stanford Treece (Mary); special grandson, Michael Knight and grandchildren, Stanford Treece Jr. (Virginia), Tanyelle and Samona; Clifford Miller (Val), Quincy Jones and Melissa Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
