Matthew Dalton Johnson

Matthew Dalton Johnson, 33, of Kingsport passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. Matthew was born at Indian Path and was raised in Kingsport. He attended and graduated from Sullivan North High School, where he played numerous sports. Matthew enjoyed the fellowship of his peers at Celebrate Recovery.

Matthew was preceded in death by his mom, Tracie Quillen; maternal grandfather, Harold Quillen; and paternal grandparents, J.M. and Lucille Johnson.

Survivors include his dad, Randy Johnson; grandmother, Carmella “G” Holtsclaw; aunt, Amy “Anna” Quillen; uncle, Mitchell Johnson; and several cousins.

The family would like to extend special thanks to David Lane and numerous church friends.
