Melanie Yvette Bishop

Melanie Yvette Bishop, 46, of Kingsport, TN, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025, surrounded by family. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Melanie graduated from Kingsport Christian School in 1997.

She enjoyed spending time with her son, Tyler, who was in her eyes, her greatest accomplishment. Melanie also loved working with her co-workers at the UPS store and snuggling with her dog, Tinkerbelle. Melanie was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Bishop, Jr.; and grandparents.

She will be remembered and always loved by those she left behind. Melanie is survived by her mother, Beatrice Bishop; son, Tyler Bishop; sister, Stephanie Rose and husband Brady; nephew, Alex Rose; niece, Tara Rose; and her precious dog, Tinkerbelle.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Terry Browder officiating.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors and nurses in the CICU of Holston Valley Hospital.
