Melissa "Missy" Ann Tunnell Prater

Melissa "Missy" Ann Tunnell Prater, 42, of Kingsport, entered into rest, as a result of respiratory failure, late Saturday, May 25, 2013. She was born April 24, 1971 in the Long Island community and had been a lifelong resident of Kingsport.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Gary Wayne Tunnell.

She is survived by her mother, Sheila Ann Tunnell Popp; her stepfather, Larry Michael Popp; her two boys, Dillon Lee Boling and Logan Wayne Prater; and her brother, Jason Wayne Tunnell.

The family will receive friends and loved ones for a Celebration of Life at Borden Park on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.
