Mildred Baines Anderson

Mildred Baines Anderson, 91, of Fall Branch, passed away peacefully December 25, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mildred was born in Fall Branch at the family home where she had lived her entire life. She was a graduate of Fall Branch High School and East Tennessee State University. She then taught at Fall Branch and later Daniel Boone High School until retirement. Mildred worked at Kingsport Park and Recreation during the summer for many years. She loved gardening, traveling, and her work with Eastern Star. Mildred also worked with the elections in Washington County at Fall Branch. She was an active member of Fall Branch Baptist Church and Fairview Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Anderson; brothers, Jessie, Beryl, Miles, and Paul; and niece, Lisa Bacon.

Mildred is survived by her nephew, Scott P. Baines and Lori; great niece, Hailey Malone, Ketney Franklin; great great-nephew, Caeden Malone; and special friends, Jerry and Sandra Deakins.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Cameron Poe officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
