Minnie Calhoun

Minnie Calhoun, 72, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, July 6, 2016. She was a mother first of all, but she loved being a granny. Minnie brought joy to everyone that she knew. She was a member of Way of Life Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby Hall; husband, Mack Calhoun; and two sons, Johnny and Bobby Hughes.

Minnie is survived by two daughters, Tammy Callahan and Penny Kitzmiller; two sons, Joe and Kimball Hughes; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved, but she was very fond of Cooper Stapleton.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and on Sunday from 5-6:00 at Way of Life Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 6:00 pm at Way of Life Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Gibson officiating.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am to follow in procession.
