Nancy Shupe Martin
Nancy M. Martin, 73, Mount Carmel, went to be with the Lord at 10:42 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 following an extended illness.
Nancy was born in Bluefield, West Virginia and had resided in Kingsport since the late 1950s. She was a former employee of the Kingsport Moose Lodge 972 and was a member of the Women of the Moose.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Shupe; and her husband, Jim Martin.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Wiggins and husband, Paul of Church Hill; two sons, Mike Martin and wife Carolyn of Kingsport and Larry Martin of the home; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Larry Shupe of Hawaii.
The family expresses a special appreciation to Dr. Shipstone, Dr. Baumrucker, the nurse of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center 6th floor; and her hospice caregivers.
The family will receive friends 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Roy Darnell officiating.
