Nancy Nelms

Nancy Nelms, 66, a lifetime resident of Kingsport, went home to the Lord on April 6, 2010, after a long illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.

Nancy was preceded in death by the father of her children, Donald Nelms; son, Travis Nelms; and grandson, Brandon Nelms.

She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Bowser and husband Butch , Tina Light and husband Robbie; son, Lynn Nelms; a special grandson that she truly loved, T.J. Nelms; eight grandchildren, Christy and fiancé Anthony, Tosha, Brittany, Taylor, Brandi, Aaron, Santana, and Tyler; four very special great-grandchildren, Jacob, Cameron, Lexi, and Carson; special friend, Kim Davidson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

Burial will be on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
