Naomi Marie Welsh Herron

Naomi Marie Welsh Herron, 90, of Church Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Born in Kingsport on March 9, 1936; she was a longtime member of Orebank Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husband of 70 years, Thomas Mose Herron; son, Richard William Herron; brother, David Welsh. She was also preceded in death by Ted Welsh, Ellen Welsh, Bill Welsh, Thelma Welsh and Oakly Marie Welsh.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Wayne Herron; sisters, Shirley Depew and Mary Cartwright; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Morning Star Cemetery in Church Hill, with Pastor Ryan Shaffer officiating.
