Nell Lovin Quillen

Nell Alice Tipton Lovin Quillen, 78, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Kingsport and lived here all her life. She worked at The Little Store, Bonanza, Western Steer, and retired from Prime Sirloin. She was at her happiest in the kitchen cooking for her friends and loved ones. She was a member of Freedom Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and Doran Addition Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents James L. and Bessie A. Tipton, her first husband of 31 years Doug Lovin and her second husband of 8 years Joe Quillen, two sisters and seven brothers.

She is survived by her son Onia Lovin and wife Jennifer, two granddaughters Ashley and Amber Lovin, one step-granddaughter Mattie Richards; step-children Robert Quillen, Rhonda Doran, and Sarah Rogers and their children; special nieces Barbara Pendelton and husband Mike, Debbie Fernung and husband Randy, and Tina Bralley-Hicks and husband Tim; several other nieces and nephews; special friends Louise Goins and DeLana Hayter.

The family will receive friends from 11:30- 1:30 pm on Monday, December 9, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm with Pastor Roy Lane officiating.

Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
