Orlin Reynolds

Orlin Reynolds, Sr. of Kingsport, passed away at the age of 80, on Friday October 3, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, following a brief illness. Born in Jonesborough, TN on March 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Sydney Reynolds, Sr. and Gladys Reynolds. Orlin has resided in this area most of his life and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served in the Vietnam era.

Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Sydney Orin Reynolds, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 ½ years, Martha Reynolds; sons, Orlin Reynolds, Jr. and Michael Reynolds; daughter, Becky (Joseph) Moyer; grandchildren, Alex Moyer and Andy Moyer; sister, Joan Hall; brother, Dan (Leny) Reynolds; brother-in-law, Robert (Darlene) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors accorded by The American Legion Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11am in the Garden of Avenue of Flags, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 2630 Hwy. 75, Blountville. Those attending the service are requested to be at the cemetery by 10:45 am.
