Pamala McDanell, 59, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2025 at her home, following a complication from surgery. Born in Bossier City, Louisiana on October 25, 1966, a daughter of the late Ross Edward Joslyn Jr. and Elizabeth Bell.
Pamala was a graduate of Airline High School in Bossier City and married the love of her life, William Glen McDanell on December 31, 1987. They traveled the country for the next 40 years, building a family and a life together before settling in Kingsport. Pamala always said her greatest achievement in life was her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
“I remember in high school she was asked what she wanted out of life. She quickly replied, “happy.” I hope I was able to give you that because you filled my life with happiness. I will miss you and love you until my last breath.” – William
Pamala was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Rebecca “Becky” Joslyn.
Those left to cherish her memory, loving husband of 40 years, William McDanell; daughters, Harley McDanell and Brently McDermand; sons, Clayton McDanell and Dalton McDanell; son-in-law, Matthew; grandchildren, Araeli and Marshall; stepmother, Carmella “Eleanor” Dukellis; sisters-in-law, Penny McDanell and Felecia Atkinson; brothers-in-law, Chad McDanell and Danny McDanell, Jr.; special friend, Chris Dukellis.
