Patricia Haltom Miller

Patricia H. Miller, 95, of Kingsport died Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Rockwood, TN, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Pat was a 1948 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and ETSU Nursing. She had worked as a Cardiac Nurse – ICU at Indian Path Hospital for 25 years. Pat was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and was known affectionately as “Monkin” to those closest to her.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Edward B. and Mabel C. Haltom; husband, James E. “Jim” Miller and son-in-law, Steven C. Rose.

Survivors include her children, Cathy Rose, Mary Clair King and husband Robin, J. David Miller and wife Linda, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Nathan Miller and wife Ali, Susanne Miller and fiancé Fletcher Echols, The Honorable Curt Rose and wife Dr. Jenny Rose, Chris Rose and wife Jill, Caty Gamble and husband, Chris, Matt King and wife Sarah, Sam King and wife Kelly, Justin King and wife Brandy, Alex King and wife Julianna; great-grandchildren, Roman and Shiloh Miller, Emma and Cameron Rose, Elizabeth, Parker and Evelyn Rose, Myles and Ruthie Gamble, Mason and Lillian King, Jack, Charlotte and Jon Miles King, Henry King, Peyton and Nolan King.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Gunnings Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott and Sandra Young, Scott Fitzpatrick, Hansford and Missy Blanken, Joe White, Scott and Pricila Simons, Betty Jo and Homer King.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View United Methodist Church with Rev. Mandy T. Young officiating.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the fellowship hall.
