Pauline G. Shanks

Pauline Gibbons Shanks, 89 of Kingsport, was called home on Monday, October 16, 2023. She was born in Hawkins County and resided in Kingsport most of her life. Pauline was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Billy L. Shanks; parents, William and Gertie Byington Gibbons; brothers, Johnny Gibbons, Russ Gibbons, and George Gibbons.

Survivors include sons, Gary Wayne Shanks and wife, Vickie, Pat Lee Shanks and wife, Tammy, Tim Shanks and wife, Candy; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating. Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
