Phyllis Frazier Phillips

Phyllis Frazier Phillips of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, September 18, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center, following a short illness. Born in Nickelsville, VA but grew up in Hiltons, VA, a daughter of the late Garney N. Frazier and Ruth Frazier Leonard. Phyllis was a graduate of Gate City High School and Tusculum College. She had resided in the Kingsport area most of her life. Phyllis attended First Baptist Church in Kingsport and the Kingsport Park and Recreation Athletic Coordinator for 23 years, retiring in the spring of 2011. She enjoyed trips to the beach and being outdoors.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Frazier, Mary Dell Sumner; and brother, Carl Frazier.

Survivors include long-time companion, Robby Ramsey of Kingsport; children, Gavin Phillips of New Orleans, LA and Bridget Crawford of Kingsport; sisters, Margaret Mullins and husband Larry of Hiltons and Barbara Noe and husband Eddie of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
