Pidgeon “Ethel” Honig, 79, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 29, 2023 shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She and her husband, Paul left their home four years ago in Central Florida to live with her daughter Cindy and son-in-law Chip. She had a love for her family.  She enjoyed collecting giraffes, needle point and scrabble. Ethel was very devoted to her loving husband Paul. She will be remembered by her family for her wicked sense of humor, great personality and her love for travel. 

 

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sally Persten; and brother, Gary.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Paul Honig; daughters, Cynthia Honig Downs (Chip); Beth Honig Chin (Chris); grandson, Jacob Lyn Downs; granddaughters, Melissa Sue Downs and Alexis Jade Chin; and soon to be great grandson, Ausbie.  

A burial will take place on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 11am at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
