Ralph Edward "Ed" Snapp, Jr. away September 30, 2026, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, Johnson City, Tennessee with his loving and devoted wife of 57 wonderful years by his side. Born on July 17, 1945 at Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport, Tennessee, he was the son of Ralph Edward Snapp, Sr and Leota Carter Snapp. Ralph grew up next door to Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church where he came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Waverly Road Presbyterian Church and later attended West Hills Baptist Church. Ralph was a 1963 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and East Tennessee State University with degrees in Accounting, Business Management and Economics. He was employed 42 years in Financial Services Division management at Eastman Chemical Company. Ralph also served in the United States Army Reserve Corps for 8 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Snapp Fraley Payne and Judy Snapp Bandy Blalock.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne Simmons Snapp, son Andrew Edward Snapp and wife, Jamie; grandsons, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Jonathan Snapp and nieces, Elizabeth Fraley Baugh, Nancy Fraley and Karen Payne Ewing. Ed deeply loved his family and always put their needs above his own.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2026, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Blountville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Larry Hall, followed by a graveside service at Edgefield Methodist Church Cemetery, 745 N. Pickens Bridge Road, Piney Flats, Tennessee 37686.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Hills Baptist Church, 1769 Highway 11W, Bristol, Tennessee 37620 or a charity of your choice.
