Randal Stewart Reaves, 87, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, after an extended illness. Randy was born on May 5, 1939, in Flag Pond, Tennessee to parents, Carl Franklin Reaves and Emily Stockton Reaves. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 34 years of service. Randy loved to read. He would often read as many as 4 novels a week. Randy also loved antiques, clocks and working his crossword puzzles with an ink pen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Doris Tittsworth; brother, Henry Reaves; and brother-in-law, Joe Ferrell.

Randy is survived by his first wife, June Burcham; their children, Sharon Reaves, Rick Reaves and his wife Connie, April Surratt and her husband Matt; grandchildren, Josh Reaves and his wife Becca, Kristy Noe and her husband T.J., Lily Surratt and Poppi Surratt; great-grandchildren, Abby Reaves, Emma Noe, and Adam Reaves; sisters, Ellen Rainwater and Nancy Ferrell; sister-in-law, Pat Reaves; step-daughter, Tammi Baker; and step-son, Mark Tittsworth.

A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, in the Garden of Devotion, 3303 S. Roan Street, Johnson City, Tennessee with Pastor Mike Hyder officiating.

A special Thank You to the nurses and staff at Lakebridge Nursing Home for the loving compassionate care they provided during his stay.
