Reggie L. McConnell

Reggie L. McConnell, 53, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, on Sunday, February 9, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. A native of Houston, TX he was the son of the late William Walter and Velvie Necessary McConnell. Reggie was a true Vols fan and loved anything to do with the outdoors. He was a wonderful husband, dad, "Papaw Reggie", brother and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Vicki McConnell of the home; son, Jeremy Roberts and wife, Amy of Kingsport; daughter, Kimberly Lovell and husband, Dennis of Kingsport; 7 precious grandchildren that he adored; siblings, Roger L. McConnell and wife, Leisha of Mt. Carmel, Mona Lisa Henley and husband, Rex of Nashville, and Lee Williams and wife, Shannon of Kennesaw, GA; step-mother, Helen McConnell of Kingsport; aunt, Naomi M. Lane of Kingsport; nieces, Larissa and husband, Bob, and Morgan; nephew, Zachary; and a host of special friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Miraculous Church, 694 Clinchfield St., Kingsport, TN 37660. A short celebration of life will follow with Pastor Donnie Pangle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingsport Credit Union where a special account has been set up by the family.
